D has been a sort of hilarious demon this week. His guts are in a bit of an uproar, poor thing, but we do think we've said our goodbyes to Miralax, and Zantac is right behind.
Our new favorite game is Battering Ram, whereby Mama picks D up like a sack of potatoes and runs through the house (as bouncily as possible) until we find Dada. Then we shout BATTERING RAM! ("batt ing wah ram!") and crash our heads into Dada's guts. Repeat no fewer than 700 times. Surprise Dada if possible, say at the top of the stairs, for maximum hilarity.
And now, let's hear it for amateur genealogist Michael Hirsch, who identified the final six victims of the Triangle shirtwaist factory fire of 1911. CSI style tests and DNA evidence? No sir -- just contemporary newspaper accounts in multiple languages, Census records, family histories, and good old fashioned detective work. This is why we love it, folks! Mysteries solved and unsolved. Catch the HBO documentary late next month, which Mr. Hirsch co-produced.
